Orbit

Your network is your net worth.

Sell through connectors: people who already know your buyers.

Grow your revenue by leveraging your network. Set a sales goal and your buyers; Orbit agents find the connectors who already know them, in your team’s contacts and beyond. They introduce you, stay in the loop on the deal, and get paid when you sell.

One step further

Outbound sells you a contact at the Buyer, a stranger. Orbit finds the connector who already knows them.

Outbound (go-to-market)

Calling strangers who have never heard of you.

  1. Pick your buyers.
  2. Buy a list of contacts there.
  3. Write to strangers and wait.
Orbit (go-to-network)

A connector introduces you to their contact at the Buyer.

  1. Pick your buyers. Orbit suggests more.
  2. Orbit finds connectors with a contact there.
  3. Go in together.

How it works

Maria from Driftwood Beds wants to sell USD $10M of hotel beds.

Her buyers are Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt. Here’s how she sells through Orbit, in five steps.

1

Set the goal

“Sell USD $10M of beds to Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt.” That is her program.

2

Orbit finds who knows them

Orbit suggests more buyers like these (IHG, Wyndham), then finds connectors with a contact at each one: her team first, then connectors on Orbit and the web, like a former head of procurement at Hyatt.

3

Invite them

Maria offers: “Introduce me to your contact at Hilton who buys the beds, and earn ~5% of the sale.” Whoever accepts is a connector.

4

They go in together

The connector asks their contact at Hilton. When they agree to meet, the connector introduces Maria and stays in the loop: copied on the emails, invited to the meetings.

5

Track the sale and reward

Hilton orders USD $1M of beds for its renovations. She’s reached 10% of her goal, and the connector earns USD $50,000. Orbit tracks her progress and the connector’s reward.

Your connectors

Start with the network you have. Orbit finds the rest.

Your team’s contacts

Upload a file or connect Google or Microsoft. Orbit looks there first: a sales rep who used to work with Hilton’s head of procurement is your first connector. Your contacts stay with your team.

Connectors on Orbit

People who already make introductions through Orbit, matched to your buyers by who they know and how well. You invite the ones you want.

Found on the web

For each buyer, Orbit searches for people with a public work history there, like a former head of procurement at Hyatt, and you decide whom to invite.

You set the reward for every connector before they start: a share of each sale, a retainer, or both. Orbit tracks every introduction, meeting and sale, and what each connector has earned.

The rules

Trust comes first.

  • Orbit never contacts your buyers. The connector asks their contact, in their own words.
  • Names are shared with permission. Sellers see how many introductions are moving at each buyer, never names. The seller learns who the connector’s contact is once they have met.
  • Your contacts stay private. Your team’s contacts stay with your team. A connector’s contacts stay private to them.

Common questions

  • How is this different from outbound? Outbound sells you a list of contacts at your buyers: strangers you write to and wait. Orbit goes one step further: it finds the people who already know a contact there, and they introduce you.
  • Who are connectors? Someone who already knows your contact at the buyer and goes in with you. Former colleagues, advisors, people in your team’s network, or people Orbit finds for you. They join your program by invitation.
  • What do they earn? You propose the reward: a share of sales they help generate, a retainer, or both. You agree on the terms before they start.
  • How are they paid? You pay them directly according to the agreed terms, then mark the payment in Orbit.
  • Does Orbit contact my buyers? Never. The connector asks their own contact, in their own words, and tells you when they agree to meet.

Your next sale may be one person away.
